Nearly 2,000 m³ of continuously cast concrete has marked a special milestone at the HEINEKEN project. This is not only a large-scale pour among the package's items, but also a grueling test of Anh Duong Building’s (ADB) organizational, coordination, and construction control capabilities. Behind this record-breaking number lies a massive operational campaign.

Behind a Large-Scale Pour
When the first mixer trucks moved into position, the entire operational flow at the HEI project site was immediately activated. Long-reach boom pumps operated continuously, with multiple construction teams closely monitoring the ground. Alongside the bustling rhythm of the workers, the technical, QA/QC, and HSE teams pushed themselves to strictly monitor and ensure absolute standards of quality and safety.
That was the moment when a plan prepared days in advance officially entered its most crucial stage.

For a large-scale continuous pour, the pressure lies not only in output but also in the perfection of the technical infrastructure system. Before zero hour, the HEI Project Management Board rigorously reviewed the entire system, from formwork, reinforcement, and elevations to the MEP system. Even backup plans such as alternative power sources, night lighting systems, booster pumps, bad weather handling measures, and curing materials were meticulously prepared so that not a single link would fail.

Simultaneously, the operation and coordination plan for the batching plant and concrete supply was detailed. From mix design approval, batching plant capacity assessment, mixer truck dispatching, to the arrival time at the site, everything was calculated in real-time. At both the plant and the construction site, ADB deployed personnel to strictly check everything from raw material inputs to technical output indicators such as slump, temperature, and trial sampling.
A Symphony of Multiple Links
With a large-scale pour, any minor disruption in a small link could shatter the entire schedule. Therefore, alongside the official construction plan, ADB established strict contingency plans for equipment, ready to substitute everything from pumping systems, pipelines, and vibrators to power sources and generators.
Each pour is not just a combination of a colossal volume of materials, but also a symphony of meticulous preparation. At the gateway of the construction site, every entering and exiting truck, every personnel figure existed within a flawless coordination scenario. Everything was tightly set up, creating a seamless, precise, and absolutely safe construction flow at the forefront of the site.

On the construction ground, each department undertook its own duty while aiming for a common requirement: safety, quality, progress, and the continuity of the pour.
Notably, with prolonged construction time, HSE work was controlled throughout. Working platforms, walkways, guardrails, barriers, the segregation of people and vehicles, personal protective equipment, emergency response, and first aid plans were all included in the checklist. The Management Board's plan also placed special requirements on checking night working conditions.

The Milestone Lies Beyond the Numbers
Directly present at the construction area, Mr. Le Ba Vinh – Project Manager of the HEI project, stated that this is the concrete pour with the largest scale among the items of this Heineken project phase, with more than 2,000 m³ implemented continuously.
“For us, this is not only an item with a huge volume but also an important milestone. To achieve this, ADB has made great efforts to coordinate with partners from site preparation, materials, equipment, human resource organization to coordinating with the batching plant, safety work, quality control, and schedule,” shared Project Manager Vinh.

According to Mr. Vinh, the top requirement is that the pour must be executed safely, ensuring schedule and technical requirements. This requires participating parties to coordinate closely, with each department fulfilling its responsibilities and standing ready to handle arising situations during implementation.

ADB's responsibility does not stop when the final stream of concrete stops flowing. Immediately after the pour was completed, post-operation work was promptly implemented according to plan: from surface finishing and proper technical concrete curing, organizing summary meetings for officers and workers, arranging headcount checks, organizing a controlled departure from the factory, to cleaning the entire pumping system, delivery pipelines, construction roads, and the factory periphery to return the premises to its neat everyday state.
For Anh Duong Building, this is not just a milestone in output or the completion of a work volume, but also an affirmation of organizational capacity, a sense of responsibility, and commitment to the project.
