Mid-Autumn Festival is often called by a very beautiful name: the Tet of Reunion. But for those working in construction, some reunion seasons do not start with a family feast at home, but right at the construction site, alongside colleagues sticking together to keep up with the schedule and build each project.
As many families prepare to gather for the Full Moon Festival, at the projects of Anh Duong Building (ADB), the engineers and Command Board members still maintain their daily work rhythm.
The construction site keeps running. Planned tasks continue to be monitored, construction phases follow one another, and engineers and supervisors remain at their posts.
Mid-Autumn Seasons at the Construction Site
And this year, the Tet of Reunion found its way to the construction site inside boxes of mooncakes.
Sharing with the brothers sticking to the projects, representatives from the Board of Management, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union, and the ADB Office Block directly visited the construction sites, met, greeted, and presented Mid-Autumn gifts to the officers, engineers, and workers.
During the visit, Mr. Mai Xuan Phúc - Deputy General Director of the Construction Block, directly met and encouraged the teams at the Command Boards. "The construction site always faces pressure regarding schedule, quality, and safety. Therefore, the important thing is that the Command Board must maintain the construction rhythm, coordinate well among departments, and tightly control every task. Mid-Autumn is an occasion for the brothers to have extra time together, but afterwards, we still continue our common goal: doing each part well and bringing the project to the finish line safely and with quality," Mr. Phúc shared.
Mr. Nguyễn Đình Hùng – HRA Leader, also sent wishes to the brothers for a warm and healthy Mid-Autumn season, encouraging them to continue accompanying the company and the Command Board to successfully complete the project goals. "Even though we cannot fully gather with our families, we have the gathering among teammates," Mr. Hùng said.
One Box of Mooncakes, Two Places to Return To
For those accustomed to construction site life, that wish truly hits home. When working far from home, colleagues are the ones who work together, share meals, and spend the majority of the day together.
Mr. Lê Ngọc Sang, working at the HEINEKEN project, shared: "Working in construction, being away from home during holidays and Tet is not rare. Receiving a box of mooncakes right at the construction site, the happiest thing is not about whether the gift is big or small, but knowing that the brothers here are always cared for by the company. Tonight, the guys can sit back, cut the cake, and drink tea together before getting back to work tomorrow."
A box of mooncakes received at the construction site may not end its journey there.

Some boxes are opened to share with colleagues. Some follow the engineer to their accommodation after a workday. And some gifts are saved to take home, to be enjoyed with wives and children during the next visit.
Because behind each person sticking to the construction site is a family sharing early mornings and late nights, long business trips, and those reunion occasions where they cannot be fully present.
Ms. Nguyễn Thị Bích Thảo, a member of the delegation that directly visited and presented gifts at the projects, stated that these gifts are the gratitude of the Board of Management and the Trade Union towards the efforts of the brothers working at the construction site. At the same time, it is also a thank you sent to the families who have always shared and accompanied so that the officers and engineers can have peace of mind at work.
