The Northern region has recently experienced prolonged heavy rains, causing deep flooding in many urban areas and severely disrupting traffic and production activities.
Amidst these adverse conditions, builders at Ánh Dương Building's construction sites continue to strive to overcome difficulties, maintain the construction pace, and closely follow every milestone to bring projects to the finish line on schedule.
Not Letting Difficulties Slow Down the Journey to the Finish Line
In Hai Phong, the PAI Project is entering a crucial stage on its journey to the finish line. This is one of the large-scale industrial projects undertaken by Ánh Dương Building (ADB) in the role of Design and Build General Contractor.
After nearly a year of implementation, large-scale workshops have clearly emerged. According to Mr. Nguyen Tung, Deputy Project Commander, the main structural part of the workshops has now been completed. The site is focusing on finishing items while deploying surrounding infrastructure systems such as internal roads, drainage, and yards. These are also the tasks directly affected by the recent heavy rains.
Prolonged rain makes outdoor construction conditions challenging. Not letting the site fall into a passive state, the Management Board actively adjusts plans, arranges construction teams suitable for actual conditions, maintains tasks that can be implemented, and maximizes favorable time to make up for affected volumes.
In Hung Yen, the MD Project is being implemented by ADB after starting construction in early August 2026. The recent prolonged heavy rains occurred just as the site was focusing on executing many important workloads, adding pressure to site organization, human resources, machinery, and schedule assurance.

“Overcoming the Sun and Rain” to Keep Promises
Mr. Pham Huy Binh - Commander of the MD Project shared: Weather difficulties are an inherent characteristic of the construction profession. A project lasting many months cannot just go through favorable weather days. There will be scorching hot days, prolonged rainy periods, and unexpected factors outside the plan. For ADB, each construction site is a separate problem, but the ultimate goal remains unchanged: proactively sourcing resources, flexibly organizing construction, ensuring safety and quality, and upholding committed milestones.
Solving the problem of schedule – quality – safety under adverse weather conditions has become a consistent requirement. The Management Boards of construction sites in the North, including PAI, MD, RPAC, VTII, and BMF projects, regularly update forecasts, coordinate human resources and equipment, and reorganize construction teams. Tasks less affected by weather are continuously maintained; outdoor items are focused on deployment as soon as conditions permit.
After the rains, water still stagnated on the construction ground. Workers in boots hurriedly waded through muddy patches; cranes, machinery, and materials continued to be gathered. High above, behind layers of green safety nets, each item is still being completed every day.
That is also a vivid image of the spirit of “overcoming the sun and rain” of Ánh Dương builders: They do not back down from difficulties, proactively adapt, and strive to maintain progress and commitments to customers.
The heavy rains in the North are gradually passing. The sun is rising again over the construction sites. After days of harsh weather, each item continues to be completed, bringing the project closer to the scheduled finish date.
