When people think of the construction industry, they usually picture sun-drenched construction sites, hardworking workers and engineers immersed in concrete, steel, and deadline pressures. But behind every project, women are quietly contributing through their dedication, resilience, and sense of responsibility. At Anh Duong Building (ADB), these "roses" are affirming their value in very unique ways.

Resilience Behind the Projects
In construction, project progress is always tied to demands for materials, human resources, costs, and quality. Even a single delayed step can impact the operations of the entire site. Therefore, supporting departments behind the projects must work under pressure no less intense than those directly engaged in construction.
For Ms. Kim Duong, head of the Procurement Control Unit (PCU) at Anh Duong Building, every workday is a process of balancing progress, quality, and cost. Especially in a context where the construction industry still faces many hardships—with material price fluctuations, supply chain pressures, and staffing challenges—the job demands proactivity, decisiveness, and quick problem-solving skills.
She remembers most the days of supplying materials for the MKF project during the rainy season. When the site management board had to work day and night to ensure progress, the PCU department sometimes had only a few hours to handle material requests. The difficulty multiplied when suppliers suddenly announced late deliveries at the last minute.
Unwilling to let the construction site be put in a passive position, Ms. Duong and her colleagues quickly contacted suppliers, found alternative solutions, and coordinated with the site management board to resolve obstacles, minimizing any impact on construction progress.
"For me, PCU is not just a material supply department, but also a bridge between suppliers and the construction site, between plans and reality. I am proud to share the pressure with my teammates, connect all parties, and contribute to the overall success of the project," Ms. Duong shared.

Having been with Anh Duong for many years, what makes her proud is not just orders delivered on time or costs controlled, but also her personal growth and that of the team through each project.
Likened to the "keeper of the keys" in material procurement, she always reminds herself to uphold principles, control costs, and put the common interests of the enterprise first.
"Difficulties can make the journey longer, but when we are united, constantly innovate, and head toward a common goal, ADB will steadily overcome challenges and develop sustainably," Ms. Duong expressed.
The Connectors and Fire-Keepers
If the procurement department helps secure resources for the construction site, human resources (HR) plays a vital role in building and maintaining the team.
For Ms. Bich Thao, doing HR in the construction industry is a challenging job, especially when projects need to supplement personnel in a short time while recruitment requirements are increasingly high.
The pressure lies not only in hiring enough people, but also in finding the right people who meet professional requirements, fit the work environment, and can accompany the enterprise for the long term.
"Besides solid structures, the most important foundation of an enterprise is a team of personnel sharing the same goals and spirit of companionship," Ms. Thao shared.

According to her, HR work is not simply recruitment or handling administrative procedures. It is also the process of connecting employees with the enterprise, among departments, and among people heading toward a common goal.
There are times when multiple tasks arise simultaneously, requiring quick and flexible handling. But the coordination and sharing of colleagues have helped her overcome the pressure.
The joy of an HR professional is sometimes very simple: a recruitment position filled on time, a colleague supported at the right moment, or a difficult problem solved through collective effort.
To Ms. Thao, these contributions may not directly shape a physical structure, but they are meaningful to the operation and development of the enterprise.
She hopes every woman at Anh Duong has the opportunity to develop, receive recognition worthy of her efforts, and work in a positive environment where people know how to share and support one another.
The Young Girl and Her Journey Finding a Second Family
Unlike colleagues with years of experience, Truc Linh came to Anh Duong Building with the excitement mingled with hesitation of a young girl from Northern Vietnam venturing into Ho Chi Minh City to start her career.
Choosing the construction industry—a field often seen as dry and high-pressure—as her starting point, Linh had to learn almost from scratch. From getting familiar with technical terminology and understanding construction processes to adapting to the bustling pace of the city, everything was new.
Working in communications, Linh’s task is to capture images, stories, and activities across the company’s projects. For a young person passionate about creativity, this is both an opportunity and a challenge.
Linh still remembers her early days going down to construction sites to gather materials under the scorching Saigon sun. Unfamiliar with the roads and unacquainted with construction machinery and equipment, the young girl often fumbled, not knowing where to begin.
Amidst this unfamiliarity, the care of her colleagues became a great source of encouragement. Busy engineers still carved out time to guide and explain each construction item, share site stories, hand her a cool bottle of water, and offer words of encouragement: "Keep it up, you’ll get used to it soon!"
These small memories were enough to make the homesick girl feel warm inside. Linh also remembers the early days when company leaders directly guided and encouraged her. This care helped her gradually overcome anxiety and gain more confidence in her work and independent life.
After a year, what makes Linh most proud is seeing the articles, images, and videos about project progress or company events created by her own hands being shared widely. From a timid girl, Linh has gradually matured, gaining a deeper understanding of the construction profession and the people working day and night on site.
"Anh Duong is not only a place that gave me my first career opportunity, but also a second family, holding me close with the most sincere affection over the past year," Linh confided.

For Linh, the most precious thing in her journey southward is not just securing her first job, but finding colleagues ready to share, help, and walk alongside her.
In different roles, these "Anh Duong Roses" have all made very positive contributions to the operations of Anh Duong Building. From material procurement and HR development to communications, their work requires proactivity, responsibility, and the ability to adapt to the pressures of the construction industry.
On the occasion of Vietnamese Women's Day on October 20, we wish the three "roses" in this story in particular, and all female staff and employees of Anh Duong Building in general, continued confidence and brilliance, plenty of development opportunities, due recognition for their contributions, and a harmonious balance between work and life.
Amidst the ongoing challenges in the construction industry, the efforts of the female staff and employees have made tremendous contributions to the company's overall operations, affirming the role and capability of women in a field with many unique features and pressures. These contributions are also a vital part of building a strong workforce, laying the foundation for Anh Duong Building to grow and make breakthroughs.
